Each ice axe is hand-forged in one piece from a block of carbon steel. This is a forging process using a hand hammer and a drop hammer in open dies. They are made one by one, by eye, respecting precise measurements. The hafting is done in the traditional way using a hardwood wedge. The eye (hole where the handle is inserted into the head) is flared at both ends allowing a solid assembly without play. Each piece bears the artisan's hallmark as well as a unique serial number stamped under the flat portion. The Truffes Québec logo is also laser-engraved.

- Hand-forged carbon steel head
- Handle in white ash from Quebec and wedge (wooden tongue that holds the head) in black walnut
- Leather wrist strap
A truffle pick, or cavadou, is used to dig up truffles by scraping the earth and removing any stones that may hinder harvesting. It is a small tool that allows you to locate and delicately extract the precious mushroom without damaging the truffle soil for future harvests.

Quality guaranteed
Your trees are guaranteed against loss/mortality for a period of 30 days following possession according to the following terms:
Trees must be planted within 48 hours of taking possession. They must be equipped with a protective tube that you can obtain from us or any retailer near you. It is understood that losses/mortalities resulting indirectly from poor tree maintenance, use not in accordance with the instructions in the planting guide or any faults or damages made by the customer, bad weather or damage caused by animals or other pests, are not covered.
When applicable, the warranty includes the replacement of affected trees, subject to nursery availability and does not include delivery costs. In any case, this purchase is non-refundable . The customer must keep the defective tree and have photos attesting to the problem. Finally, although each tree has been carefully inoculated, we cannot guarantee truffle production.
