our history
Founded in 2015 by innovation enthusiasts and visionaries in the agricultural sector, Truffes Québec contributes to the harmonious and sustainable development of Quebec's truffle-growing region.
We support producers in setting up truffle orchards in Quebec, from soil analysis to the choice of truffle plants, planting, and maintenance. In this regard, we offer several consulting service packages tailored to the needs of our clients, whether they are large-scale producers or beginners.
At Truffes Québec, we firmly believe that a new industry can emerge from the soil we tread—a vibrant, regenerative industry, rooted in the land and oriented towards the future. We cultivate much more than trees. We are growing a sustainable truffle ecosystem, based on quality, research, and respect for life.
To learn more about the discovery of truffles here, a subject that has captivated Jérôme, co-founder, since 2009, we invite you to consult our section The History of Truffles in Quebec.

our mission
Truffes Québec's mission is to actively participate in soil revitalization by acting as a key player:
- in the production of premium truffle trees and truffles throughout North America,
- by contributing to the development of local expertise and knowledge that enhance every aspect of the truffle fungus — from the forest to fresh, then processed, products,
- by facilitating trufficulture and the distribution of fresh truffles produced in Quebec.
We are convinced that it is possible — and necessary — to cultivate a new economy, rooted in biodiversity, human partnerships, and agri-food innovation. And that the truffles dormant beneath our native forests deserve to be celebrated with the same respect as Europe's finest wines.

our vision
Our vision is ambitious!
To become the leader in sustainable and equitable truffle farming in North America, recognized worldwide for:
- the quality of our truffle trees,
- our concrete support for producers,
- the marketing of our native truffles (including the majestic Appalachian truffle) and non-native truffles cultivated in Quebec,
- and the development of refined derived products, proudly carried by our gourmet division, Les Truffettes.
We don't just grow truffle trees. We cultivate a vision. We cultivate an industry. And above all, we cultivate the pride of transforming our Quebec forests into a sustainable wealth, for today and for tomorrow.

our values
Quality: We are continually seeking to improve our methods to enable producers to cultivate high-quality truffles with an international reputation.
Innovation: We are continually working to develop and integrate new techniques and approaches to best meet the needs of our producers.
Territory Protection: We want to develop Quebecers' interest in our local truffles, in order to offer a profitable and ecological alternative for Quebec's forests and the province's economy.
Family and future generations: We actively participate in solidarity and collaboration between producers to develop a sustainable and prosperous industry for future generations.

The canine team
To successfully harvest truffles, we collaborate with a very special team: our precious canine companions. Thanks to their exceptional sense of smell, they are able to locate new producing trees and indicate when truffles are ripe.
On the left, you can see young Arno, a promising Lagotto Romagnolo who made his very first discoveries in autumn 2025. Below him is the lovely Gigi, a curious and diligent Beagle, who is also making her debut as a truffle hunting companion.
On the right, meet Bloom and Taouk, the loyal dogs of our expert Jérôme. With several years of experience in truffle hunting, they form a duo as efficient as they are essential in the field.
Here, these four-legged companions are part of the family. We love them, we respect them, and we take care of them with as much attention as our truffle trees... if not more!
