Reaching a height of 30 to 90 m, the white pine is the tallest conifer in eastern Canada. Majestic and enigmatic, this tree with an elegant silhouette popularized by the artists of the Group of Seven became the official tree of Ontario in 1984. It is one of the fastest-growing conifers and an excellent choice for reforestation and wildlife preservation activities, as wildlife feeds on its bark, needles, and fruits.
