A large nut tree native to Quebec that can live for over 300 years, it has become very rare in the province, yet deserves pride of place. It's a wonderful gift to offer to future generations.

Growth : Slow for the first 5 years, then more than 30 cm per season.
Exposure : Shade or partial shade.
Appearance : Ovoid shape, short fan-shaped branches.
Ground : Fresh, well-drained rich loam, medium soil moisture, medium tolerance to compaction. Rooting: Deep; taproots, difficult to plant.
Diseases and insects : Few pathological and entomological problems.
